Invest in Camp Verde

Over the past decade, the Town of Camp Verde has become the fastest growing municipality in the Verde Valley, with a population increase of 9% between 2016 and 2022.

It is projected to grow at a rate of 6-9% a year over the next five years. In the last five years, we have seen the construction of a new $3.7 million fire station, a $4 million Community Library, a $10 million Medical Campus, a $14 million Community Park and Sports Complex and a $75 million road widening project on State Route 260.

Looking forward to Camp Verde’s Future

The Town of Camp Verde is currently engineering a new wastewater collection system to serve the entire Qualified Opportunity Zone. This project will open an additional 2000 acres along the SR-260 corridor for development. In addition to the Town’s planned investment in infrastructure, Arizona Public Service (APS), the power company, is investing in a new substation in this area. Significant development is continuing to be announced in this area including new industry, commercial, and residential projects.

Recently, FrameTec, a manufacturer and framing services company, has commenced construction of its roof and floor truss and wall panel manufacturing facility in Camp Verde. The 110,000-square-foot facility is expected to be fully operational by spring 2024, creating over 180 new jobs.

Opportunity Zone

Opportunity Zones are designated areas within communities that offer tax incentives to investors in order to stimulate economic development and job creation. Established by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, these zones aim to attract long-term investments in low-income urban and rural communities. By providing significant tax benefits, including deferral and potential exclusion of capital gains, Opportunity Zones encourage investments in new businesses, real estate projects, and infrastructure improvements, fostering revitalization and economic growth in underserved areas.
