Moonshot returns for the 5th Annual Rural Arizona Pitch Competition, designed for entrepreneurs and business owners (aka, a showcase like you see on ABC’s Shark Tank)!
The Moonshot Rural Arizona Pitch Competition is a prominent competition designed to discover and support entrepreneurs in rural and underserved areas of Arizona. Hosting 16 tour stops across Rural Arizona, this competition offers a platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their visions, receive valuable mentorship, and connect with seasoned investors. And a chance for winners of each stop to win $10,000 at the State Finals!
The Verde Valley Pitch Competition is on Friday, May 17th.
Participation to compete is FREE OF CHARGE, thanks to title sponsors Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Arizona Commerce Authority, and APS.

Why participate in the competition?
As a 2024 Rural AZ Pitch Tour Participant…
- You’ll learn to successfully and quickly pitch your business/invention/idea to potential investors. (Pitch presentations are 3-5 minutes in length).
- You’ll be competing to win cash prizes, scholarships to become a Moonshot member (entrepreneurial education, mentorship, and more), and more! (Prizes vary by tour stop.)
- You’ll get feedback from top industry experts and exposure for your business or product. (Some of the mentors and coaches have even appeared on ABC’s SHARK TANK!)
- You’ll meet other risk-taking entrepreneurs in the Verde Valley that you can lean on while you’re diving into the startup world.
- Also, the first place winner from each tour stop will go on to compete in the statewide finals competition for a $10,000 cash prize – Finals are held in Cottonwood!
